Is it true that, Christians never be count guilty?
In our previous Bible verse in 1 John 1:5-7 was telling us how to live in our new lives. We are to live in the light and not to work in sinful life called as darkness. In this study, in this video, I would like to share with you from the epistle 1 John 5:18 saying: “We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.” When we only read this one verse, probably those who are not a believer may say: what is this? How different of those who believed in Jesus? How righteous are those who believed in Jesus? How perfect they are? That they think those who believed in Jesus never sin? Is that mean even those believers lied it doesn’t count as sin? Even then those Jesus’s believer deceiving others, it doesn’t count sin? No, not like that! Friends, what the Bible is teaching is this: the Bible says that “the one who born of God keep them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.” It’s mean that they will striving to live in a sinless life, from lying and deceiving. From stealing and robbery, from adultery, cheating, etc. Mean that there are times that we Christians are tripping, if we are not careful, we will fall into those sinful acts. But to keep themselves safe, mean that we are striving in obedience to Jesus Christ’s teaching. How is that sinless life looks like? I would like to share with you from another passage from James 4:7-8 saying: “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” This is the explanation to the phrase that said: “We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin.” Mean that they know what is sin, what is unrighteousness, what is this obedience and strive their best in obedience toward God, and keep themselves, away from sinful acts, by avoiding: lying, from adultery, cheating, from greediness, immorality, idolatry, and many other unrighteousness. But what if those who believed in Jesus and still committing those things? You can know for sure that, that person is not obey Jesus. Those who believed in Jesus will try to obey Jesus. Those who are not a believer and did not obey, they will not listen to Jesus. They will live their lives and do whatever they think good for them, even those what they are doing is against and cannot be found in the Bible at all!
