Jude 1:20-23
In our previous video we have learnt that: “God did not forsake His promise, He did want anyone to be perish, instead He want all men come to repentance.” Friends, this is very important, in our we live our lives. How do we live and how we are doing in our lives, as a Christian. As the one that is honoring God. Which God called us to be His children. I would like to share with you about a command in the book of Jude 1:20-23 “But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. 22 Be merciful to those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.” As we are living in our Christian lives. As we are living in our faith, not to worry about anything and trust in the protection, and God’s providence, it is special, it is good, this is what we are suppose to do! But, what’s more important that to live in faith, what’s even more important to just live with confidence and depending on God, as a Christian, as a child of God, as brethren to one another. We are to help one another to wait to for our Lord to receive out eternal life. Which mean brethren, we may false we may slip away if we have not lived in faith, trust and obedience toward God. As the scripture is telling us: “Be merciful to those who doubt;” some of our brethren may have been through some hardship in their lives, because there is much suffering in their lives, that they start doubting God’s promise, they start doubting in God’s providence and the blessing of God in their lives. When they are facing unbearable storm in their lives, which is far beyond their strength and they may assume that they cannot press forward anymore. But brethren, we have to have faith on the hope and promises that we have which was given from God. The hope of having eternal life. God has never promise that in this world we will never have hardship in our lives. God promise to be with us, and if we are striving in abiding to the original faith, till the end, we will receive our inheritance with Jesus Christ. Brethren, as we are living in this world we will face a lot of hardships, sometime hatred, sometime suffering in our physical that is unbearable for us. But you have to remember that God is with us. The way that we respond to the hardships in our lives can help us grow stronger in our faith, can help us grow stronger in our faith in God. But are you pleading to God that He may give your strength in this hard time, or do you trust in our own strength as you are fighting with all the hardships in your life?
