What is the Gospel?
In our previous video, I have answered the question that I’ve got asked: Why do Christians preach the gospel? In this video I would like to tell all of you about: What is the Gospel? I thought that I have given the answer in our previous video. But maybe you have not did not watch to the end of the video. I certainly hope that you will take time watch the video that I’ve answered to the quest: Why Christians preach the Gospel? I would like to inform you about what is the gospel. Why do we have to preach about it? First, I would like to read for you from 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 saying: “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. Why did Paul? Paul was one of Jesus’s apostles. He has traveled many places to preach the gospel. He said that “if you hold fast that word which I preached to you” when obeyed Christians toward the gospel, they are saved. But brethren, it was not the end just yet. To obeyed the gospel, mean that they are starting in their new lives. The life that is not following flesh’s desire, greedy, lustfully desire, adultery, sexual immorality, lying, deceiving, or man other evil things. All the unrighteous we are to put off and strive to live in righteousness. So, what is the good news of Jesus Christ? The Good News of Jesus Christ is the salvation plan that is proclaiming about the Kingdom of God! In the Good News of Jesus Christ contain Jesus Christ’s birth. Which He was born miraculously from a virgin. He has lived in a perfect life; He has no sin. He died as a sacrifice for us. Three days after He was resurrected. This is Hope! The Good News of Jesus Christ. If you believe in this good news, obey what Jesus commanded you as written in Mark 16:15-16 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved;” You will receive a new life. Friends, as we live everyday depending on our own strength, depending on our own deeds, cannot save our souls. The good deeds that do for one another is the good relationship that we have in our physical lives. Because we want peace as we live in this physical world, we do good toward one another, hoping that others will do good toward us as well. Most of the time we did get that in return. But sometimes we did good things to the wrong person, we did not get the good deeds in return. But when we obey the good news of Jesus Christ, we are receiving forgiveness spiritually from sin. We have hope! We know for sure that after we died from this physical body, our souls will be with God in Heaven. I would like to read from another passage, from Romans 5:1-2 saying: “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” So, Friend, through our obedience toward the Good News of Jesus Christ that saved, we are in God’s grace. We have hope that we can be proud of. Why does Christian always proudly say that after I die, I will be with God? Why? Because it was promised by Christ! Jesus Himself declared that He is God, He is the way, He is the truth, that lead us to Heaven. He promises that He is preparing a place for us. This is hope this is the core of the Gospel that Christians proclaim. Friends, when you heard about the Good News of Jesus Christ, what do you think? Do you want to have spiritual redemption?
